Description

Bakels Sponge Mix Complete is a complete mix for sponge cakes, based on wheat flour and sugar with raising agents, whole egg powder, rice starch, egg albumin powder and milk protein, with ingredients originating from the UK, the United States, Sweden and China.

The mix suits all types of mixers, and sponges made with it are baked at 180 °C (355 °F) for 20 to 25 minutes. Contains: cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk. May contain: soya. Suitable for vegetarians. Store in cool and dry conditions; unopened shelf life 360 days. Supplied in a 12.5 kg bag.

How to use

Swiss roll with raspberry jam and cream beside raspberries

Intended use: Finished product: sponge, sweet goods.
Intended use: Forming the perfect foundation to any sponge cake.
Dosage: 1.000kg NI Sponge Mix Complete (100%) + 0.520kg water (52%)
Instructions: Suitable for all types of mixers.
Preparation: Blend all ingredients together using whisk for 1 minute on first speed. Scrape down. Whisk for 5 minutes on top speed. Whisk for a further 1 minute on slow speed. Scale at 175g or as required.
Baking temperature: 180°C (355°F)
Baking time: 20 to 25 minutes
