Description

Puratos Tegral Sponge Cake Mix is a UK-made sponge cake mix of wheat flour, sugar and whole egg powder, and the Chocolate variant is made with fat reduced cocoa powder.

Both versions are mixed at 1 kg mix to 520 g water for sponge cakes and 570 g water for Swiss rolls, which bake at 240 °C for 5 to 6 minutes. Contains: cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk. May contain: soya. Suitable for vegetarians and halal diets; store in a dry place (relative humidity max 65 %) between +5 and +25 °C, with an unopened shelf life of 12 months for Chocolate and 15 months for Plain. Sold in 12.5 kg bags in Chocolate and Plain.

How to use

Slice of layered sponge cake with cream, jam and strawberries

Intended use: Sponge cakes and Swiss rolls
Dosage: Sponge Cake: Cake Mix 1Kg, Water 520g in sponge cake
Dosage: Swiss Rolls: Cake Mix 1Kg, Water 570g in swiss rolls
Instructions: This product is to be consumed after cooking or baking and is not ready to eat.
Preparation: Place Tegral Sponge Mix in a bowl fitted with a whisk. Add water while mixing on slow speed over 1 minute. Scrape down. Mix on fast speed for 8 minutes then 2 minutes on slow. Scale 200g into 6" tins and 470g into 10" tins. for sponge cakes

Baking time: 18 minutes for 6" sponges, 21 minutes for 10" sponges for sponge cakes
